Reflexology
What is Reflexology?
An energy-based practice, Reflexology involves stimulating, massaging and holding points on the feet (and sometimes the hands) to encourage energy flow through the body and promote self-healing.
How Does Reflexology Work?
The basic theory behind Reflexology is that the whole body is mapped out on the hands and feet, with different points—known as reflex points—corresponding to specific areas of the body. Many factors in life, including stress, injury and illness, can cause imbalance in the body and hinder energy flow. These imbalances can often be detected in the reflexes.
By applying pressure with the fingers and thumbs, tension can be released and congestion alleviated. This stimulation helps to break down deposits that may be causing blockages, improves circulation, enables blood to deliver oxygen and nutrients more effectively, and supports the body in cleansing waste products.
The application of Reflexology often results in a ‘feel-good factor’, as it stimulates the production of endorphins, which are linked to mood regulation and stress reduction. Reflexology helps to restore balance and encourages the free flow of energy throughout the body.
How Reflexology Supports You
Reflexology works holistically, supporting both body and mind. By encouraging balance and relaxation, it can help to:
• Reduce stress and promote a sense of calm
• Improve sleep quality
• Support hormonal balance and women’s health at all stages of life
• Ease tension and discomfort
• Encourage better circulation and energy flow
• Support the body’s natural healing processes
• Enhance overall wellbeing and resilience
Specialist Reflexology Approaches
NEPIP Reflexology
Neurology is the study of the nervous system.
Endocrinology is the study of the endocrine system.
Psychology is the study of the mind and behaviour (the Greek word psyche = spirit/soul).
Immunology is the study of the immune system.
Body means feet in Greek.
Put them together and you have NEPIP, the scientific study of the relationship between our brain, our nervous system activities and their direct relationship with the endocrine system, how this affects our health via the immune system and all replicated/reflected on the feet.
NeuroEndoPsycholmmunoPody (NEPIP) is a unique treatment routine working the feet simultaneously. It is an effective protocol for accessing the immune, endocrine and nervous systems through specific techniques together with powerful focussed intent in the form of a client relative guided visualisation.
Fertility Reflexology
Fertility Reflexology is a specialist approach that supports reproductive health and wellbeing. By working specific reflex points on the feet that correspond to the reproductive system and related hormonal pathways, the treatment aims to encourage balance within the body and reduce stress, which is often a key factor in fertility challenges.
This tailored method can help to:
Support regulation of the menstrual cycle
Encourage hormonal balance
Promote relaxation and reduce stress levels
Improve circulation to the reproductive areas
Support the body through natural conception, assisted fertility treatments (such as IVF), and pre-conception care
Fertility Reflexology is not a replacement for medical treatment, but it can be used alongside conventional care to create the best possible conditions for conception and overall reproductive health.
